Rosewarne is a residential care home for disabled adults with complex care needs in Camborne, Cornwall.

Rosewarne provides a high level of support to enable our customers to meet their personal goals and future aspirations.

Our Approach

We aim to provide you with the support and opportunities you need to lead a fulfilling lifestyle by offering a range of services which are tailored to your needs. You’ll be in control of your support and enabled to make choices and develop your independence. We’ll work alongside you, and the other people in your life, to make this happen. Together, we’ll develop a support plan around the things you want to do, with a focus on what you’d like to achieve.

Our services provide high quality, person centred support. We train our staff thoroughly to provide a high quality, tailored and flexible support for people with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs.

What's Provided

What we provide is different for each customer, based on their needs and wishes. We provide fully-staffed support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including waking night care for those with complex health needs.

For us, it’s more than just accommodation and personal care. Our service provides a safe and supportive environment where customers can meet their personal aspirations and pursue their future goals. Staff will enable and empower customers in all aspects of their life, including decision-making, skill development and self-advocacy.

Every customer has a unique support plan. This can include both regular, daily and ‘as required’ activities, such as support with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, access to sports, volunteering and leisure activities.

Customers are supported to be active members of their community, for example to attend college, day centres, local groups, voluntary work and social activities. We hold regular fundraising events to build links with our local community, such as quiz nights and garden parties.

Customers are encouraged to be involved in making decisions about how the service is run, including arranging activities, decorating the home and days out. If the customer wishes, friends and family are encouraged to be involved.

Our Facilities

Our purpose-built accommodation comprises of three linked bungalows, with outside space and communal areas. Each bungalow has six bedrooms, a sun room and laundry room. There is a central dining room and kitchen area.

All bedrooms have an en-suite shower, overhead hoists, assistive technology and environmental controls. There is a call bell system connected to all rooms and bathrooms. Rooms and furnished but can be decorated and adapted to the customer’s wishes.

Rosewarne is set in a beautiful private location, however has good links to Camborne town centre and local areas.

Referral Process

Referrals are accepted from;

  • any potential customer seeking support
  • a member of the customer’s family (with customer consent)
  • someone working alongside the customer offering support (with customer consent. For example, their local authority

We will speak to you and, with your agreement, others that support you such as your family or other care providers. Following agreement about the suitability of placement, we will develop an individual support plan with you which will outline your communication preferences, lifestyle choices and wishes and health and wellbeing needs. We allow every customer to undertake a three-month trial period so you can experience the service. At the end of the trial period we will hold a review and, if applicable, formally agree the support with the customer, their representative and their sponsoring authority.
